|2001: A Space Odyssey (lenticular)
||23.25" x 33" (large lenticular)
|Notes: The large lenticular is the holy grail for 2001 collectors with only around 20 examples produced. There were three sizes of lenticular produced for 2001 with this one, measuring a poster sized 23" x 33", the largest of all. Producing a 3D image that was similar to a hologram in that it changes as the viewer moves, lenticular products of this size were spectacularly expensive to produce hence "2001" was one of the only films to use this creative three-dimensional technology in a major ad campaign. This lenticular image was printed by Toppan (which were known for their fine lenses) in Japan, and was used in the Cinerama release of the film. Despite these large prismatic lenses being very prone to scratches and scuffs, this example is in particularly excellent shape with four small holes in the corners for mounting purposes.
