Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (lenticular) Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Size Condition Price
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (lenticular) 2004 US special lenticular 26" x 40" Near Mint/Mint £5,950
Notes: Harry Potter's Uncle Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) is depicted on this one sheet sized lenticular prototype that was never issued by Warner. Warner created this poster to mimic the "Wanted" posters used in the movie. As one moves back and forth before this poster, the image of Black actually begins to disappear. After creating six of these full-size prototypes at a facility in Michigan, Warner decided that it was too expensive to put them into full production and so the project was dropped. This is one of the original six prototypes, not the small size lenticular produced for the lobby standees.  N.B. Although flexible, this poster is best shipped flat so shipping costs are higher than usual.

I married a monster from outer space Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Size Condition Price
I married a monster from outer space 1958 UK quad - 40"x30" Very Good on linen £425
Notes: Despite the schlock-horror title, this is a well made, thought provoking Sci-fi film. A young bride discovers that her husband is not the man she fell in love with, but a hideous alien in a specially constructed shell. This is a rare UK quad with the same iconic design as the 1958 first release US posters. Experts cannot agree whether this poster is a very early print run from the first release or from an early re-release in the UK. Linen backed with restoration to upper right corner and retouching to folds and borders.

Independence Day (lenticular, framed) Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Size Condition Price
Independence Day (lenticular, framed) 1996 US 1 sht - 27"x40" Near Mint £95
Notes: Reduced from £145 to £95 for a quick sale. Rare lenticular poster produced for the video release of the film in 1996 (the same year the film was released). Lenticular posters have a "3-dimensional" look to them, and when you look at them from a slight angle, they look one way, and then when you look at them from a different angle, they look different. Not many were made due to the added cost of production. They can be easily damaged, and cannot be rolled tightly, as can a regular printed poster. This example is in superb condition, framed and ready to display. Collection or courier only.

Ingagi Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Size Condition Price
Ingagi 1931 German - 37" x 55" Fine on linen £2,750
Notes: For movie buffs, Ingagi holds a very special place in film history. In the pre-Hays Code days of 1930 it was promoted on the basis that it used real documentary footage of Sir Hubert Winstead's expedition to Africa, including footage of a woman being dragged into the Congo Jungle by a gorilla for sex. In reality, it was made on a Hollywood back lot with stock footage sprinkled throughout, well known Hollywood extras as the Congolese girl and the "Wild Ape", local children were cast as the "pygmies" and the English explorer never existed. When the distributors were threatened with lawsuits, they withdrew the film from mainstream circulation and destroyed all the advertising material. However the ensuing notoriety ensured that it became a massive hit in the underground exploitation circuit generating higher revenues than any mainstream film of that year. So successful was it that a small film studio called RKO decided to make another exploitation movie featuring the love of an ape for a woman - the film was King Kong and RKO went on to become one of the biggest film studios in the world. This is an incredibly rare survivor from the first and only German release in 1931 with artwork by Lapiner. Quite possibly the only one in existence, it is a significant find. It has had light retouching to the folds only and looks spectacular.

Metropolis Original Vintage Movie Poster
Title Year Size Condition Price
Metropolis 1927 UK programme (7.25" x 9.75") Fine/Near Mint £1,850
Notes: Anything from the first release of Metropolis is very rare indeed but this is only part of the reason that the posters command such high prices (a german poster sold for $690,000). Another reason is the fact that this is one of the most influential and important films in the history of the motion picture industry. Finally, the artwork is simply stunning. In simple terms, this film changed everything. This is a super rare 32 page film program from the UK Premiere at London's Marble Arch Pavilion on March 21st 1927. It is full of information related to the film including actor interviews, special effects secrets and a budget breakdown. This is the quintessential insider's guide to the film directly from UFA. This has survived very well with no fading of the colours on the cover and no damage to any of the inside pages and only very light spine wear. There is a small amount of foxing (tiny rust coloured spots) on the back cover but it's otherwise in superb condition.
